An In-Depth chiliPAD Review: Hot and Cold? Yes or No?

chilipad review

Temperatures vary dramatically across the world, and that can make it very difficult for some of us to sleep. In fact, throughout our chiliPAD review, we discovered that overheating during the night may lead to disturbed sleep.

On a slightly serious note, it can also lead to a lack of dreaming.

However, scientists believe dreaming makes up an essential part of our body’s rest cycle during sleep. Without this natural dreaming process, we wake up feeling tired and lethargic.

As you’ll learn throughout our chiliPAD review, effective temperature control can be the difference between a good night’s rest and waking up in a fog. But is the chiliPAD Sleep System really the best product for the job?

The Coolest chiliPAD Review Around

The chiliPAD Sleep System is a device that regulates the temperature of your bed while you sleep. It features a temperature control box and a hydro-powered mattress topper that fits over your existing mattress.

The chiliPAD comes in a single-person or two-sided version so you can control the temperature on each side of your bed.

You can adjust the temperature via remote control or by manually changing the settings on the control box. Speaking of the control box, it fits conveniently under your bed.

However, some customer reports found during our chiliPAD review suggested buying bed risers to ensure it fits.

Along with offering control over the mattress topper’s temperature, the control box also houses the actual water used to cool the chiliPAD. The control unit regulates the temperature of the water, which circulates through the mattress topper via a series of small micro-tubes.

In total, the control box is 9.5 inches long, 10.5 inches wide, and 7.5 inches tall. Plus, it only takes 25 ounces (slightly more than a standard plastic water bottle) to completely fill the unit.

If the water level gets too low, the control box’s automatic shut-off feature will activate. The unit will also shut down after 10 hours of continuous use.

But what about the actual mattress pad?

The mattress topper is designed to fit any mattress, as long as you select the right size. And even better, the cover is machine-washable.

Also, chiliPAD offers a 90-day comfort guarantee, so you don’t need to rely entirely on our chiliPAD review to make a decision.

Our Ice Cold Take on the chiliPAD Sleep System

On the whole, users praise the chiliPAD for its ease of use and effective temperature control. Customers who reviewed the product on retail sites report that the device has helped them gain comfort and ensure a good night’s sleep. Some have even stated that the chiliPAD has changed their lives for the better because of how their sleep has improved.

Still, some customers report that the unit makes too much noise. However, they balance this by stating that at least the unit keeps them cool. Unfortunately, other reports claim the unit has proved to have no real effect on them whatsoever.

  • The chiliPAD Sleep System offers a wide range of temperature settings
  • Single and double mattress covers offer versatility
  • Mattress topper is machine-washable and easy to maintain
  • Change settings manually or with the remote control

Not so cool

  • More expensive than most alternatives on the market
  • Fan noise might bother some sleepers
  • Lacking more advanced features, like Bluetooth-connectivity

Wayfair Mattress Buyer’s Guide – Narrowing Down Tons Of Options

bedroom wayfair mattress

There are some purchases consumers have to think about before diving into an investment. A new mattress is one of those purchases. A Wayfair mattress might be a good option for you if you’re narrowing down the field. Wayfair carries not only Wayfair brands, but also the famous names like Sealy, Serta, and Tempur-Pedic. There’s a mattress for all sleepers, sleep types, and comfort ratings.

You want to feel comfortable at night. Consumers don’t want the mattress to be too hot, too firm/soft, or cause neck or back pain. You also want something that checks all the boxes for any sleep conditions you suffer from as well. You don’t have to spend thousands of dollars, to find a quality bed that delivers a great night’s sleep. But, if you want to, there are those great products online you can compare with the more affordable products. Consumers shouldn’t compromise on quality, comfort, and a restful night of sleep, to save on their mattress.

Online Wayfair Mattress Buyer’s Guide

Memory foam, latex, adjustable frames, cooling technologies, and the list goes on. When buying a new Wayfair mattress, you’re going to find many products, manufacturers, and features to consider. What’s most important, however, is to compare comfort, material quality, and sleep styles. These factors will help you narrow down the mattress varieties, and find a mattress, for your personal sleep needs.

Wayfair Mattress Material Selection

There’s no shortage of materials to consider when buying a new mattress. The latest memory foam technologies help minimize motion transfer. Latex helps stabilize the back to prevent body aches and pains. Foam toppers with cooling technologies help reduce heat transfer. Every manufacturer makes different claims when trying to sell their product. Consider these materials when the time comes to choose a new Wayfair mattress.

Spring Mattress

When choosing a spring Wayfair mattress, hybrid vs. coil inner-spring is one of the questions to ask yourself. The hybrid variety has springs that feature a foam topper covering them. This mattress provides greater support and more cushioning for owners. An inner-spring mattress has the traditional coil spring system. The interconnected coils offer structure to the bed. This variety provides a high level of support. But, it also causes aggravating pain and causes discomfort for some owners.

A second variety to consider when buying a Wayfair mattress is a latex material finish. Latex is elastic, conforms to the sleeper’s body shape, and features high levels of softness while providing spine support. It is excellent at evenly distributing body weight, and excellent air circulation keeps sleepers comfortable at night.

The third common material is memory foam. The foam is responsive, meaning it returns to its natural shape quickly. It provides pain and discomfort relief and includes temperature cooling technologies. Memory foam helps to minimize motion transfer. It is also an excellent option for allergy sufferers, as most mattresses are allergen free.

The Best Wayfair Mattress For Back, Side, And Stomach Sleepers

Consumers shopping for a new Wayfair mattress also have to consider their sleep style. A stomach sleeper needs something different than a back or side sleeper. For example, a side sleeper needs a mattress that conforms to their body. This feature helps minimize spine alignment issues and prevent injuries or discomfort. Side sleepers also want a bed that reduces motion transfer. A mattress with edge support and cooling technologies is also a great option. Memory foam is a good option for side sleepers.

For back sleepers, a combination of support and firmness are necessary to help prevent back pain. A medium firmness rating is an appropriate level to stabilize the back and avoid discomfort. A mattress that contours and adjusts to the back help increase comfort levels also for back sleepers.

For stomach sleepers, a medium-firm mattress is the best option for the highest levels of sleep comfort. These mattresses provide support and prevent sinking. This firmness level also prevents sleepers running the risk of having their back lock up on them or overextending.

Saatva Mattress Review and Guide: Luxury You Can Afford

saatva mattress

Picking a mattress is like online dating. The Saatva mattress might look great in pictures. And its name might have a nice ring to it. But you don’t really know if it’s a match until you meet it firsthand. Just like when you pick a good life partner, you and your mattress will spend a lot of time together.

You spend a third of your life sleeping. At least, that’s what any good sleep therapist recommends. How much sleep you get depends on how your day went, how you deal with it, how you relax, and how you’re trained to sleep. Getting enough quality sleep will directly reflect how tomorrow goes as well. Owning the right mattress, therefore, is essential to your overall good health and well-being.

About the Saatva Mattress

With its many features and its seamless blend of springs and memory foam, the Saatva mattress is a truly outstanding innerspring mattress. The design of the mattress gives you the character of a luxury mattress without the price.

saatva luxury mattress

Image from Saatva Mattress

Saatva has just enough foam in the mattress to put it a step above the ordinary innerspring mattress. And even with its memory foam enhancements, the mattress still retains its innerspring feel. You won’t get the feeling you’re sinking into the mattress as you do in memory foam mattresses. It feels more like you’re sleeping on top of the mattress. However, the features of the Saatva mattress still allow the bed to conform to your shape and relieve pressure in the spots that need it most.

The features packed into the Saatva mattress aren’t just for show and tell. Saatva really put thought into their mattress when designing it. Each element incorporates into the bed in a way that truly sets it apart from other similarly priced innerspring mattresses.

Coil on coil construction

One of the more notable features of the Saatva mattress is its “coil on coil” design. This design means the mattress has two layers of coils built into it. The top layer of coils is made up of 884 individually wrapped coils. This “comfort layer” of coils makes the mattress contour to your body in a way that many innerspring mattresses lack. For added coziness, this layer of coils is even wrapped in a foam casing, providing even greater pressure relief.Underneath the comfort layer is another 416 coils, this time connected. This bottom layer of coils grants support and durability. Without it, you’d be more likely to sink into the mattress. Also, the support layer gives the mattress more bounce and prevents the mattress from excessively sagging.

Euro-style pillow topper

About 2 inches thick, the euro-style pillow top provides another layer of cushioning for the Saatva mattress. The topper adds just the right amount of softness to the mattress to make it even more delightful to sleep in. As an added benefit, the pillow topper encases an organic cotton casing for microbial resistance.

Lumbar support

Those with back problems will appreciate the memory foam lumbar support region built into the Saatva mattress. This region of the mattress has increased support to allow proper spinal alignment. People who sleep on their back will be especially appreciative of this feature.

Motion isolation

Compared to most innerspring mattresses, the Saatva mattress performs slightly better in regards to motion isolation. There’s enough motion isolation in the mattress to keep the average couple happy. However, if you’re specifically looking for motion isolation in a bed, the Saatva mattress might not be the best for you.

Edge support

The Saatva mattress has a dense foam around its edge that provides tremendous edge support. In fact, you’ll have a difficult time finding a bed with as great of edge support as the Saatva mattress. Those who share the bed will appreciate being able to use every bit of the bed available.

CentriPUR-US Certified

When buying the Saatva mattress, you can rest assured knowing there weren’t any environmentally or personally hazardous materials used when making the mattress. CentriPUR-US is an outside party that ensures no harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde or heavy metals were used to make your mattress.

Temperature dissipation

The dual coil layers and organic cotton casing provide great airflow for the Saatva mattress. Compared to memory foam beds, the Saatva mattress does quite well at dispersing heat. When put up against other innerspring beds though, the Saatva mattress is pretty average due to its memory foam layer.

Three levels of firmness

Available to you are three levels of firmness – plush soft, luxury firm, and firm. Most people enjoy the luxury firm option because it rests right in the middle of being too soft or too stiff. Those who are under 130 lbs may prefer the plush soft option the most, however, as the luxury firm option may not provide enough give for them.

120-day trial

Within 120 days of delivery, you can decide if the Saatva mattress is right for you. If you decide it isn’t, Saatva will pick up the mattress and refund the entire cost of the mattress aside from $99 used for transportation fees.

White glove delivery

When receiving the Saatva mattress, workers will install your mattress and foundation for you. They’ll even remove up to two items (mattress and foundation, etc.) for you.

Limited warranty

Saatva offers a limited warranty for their mattress to guarantee customer satisfaction further. If you find a defect within the first two years of owning your mattress, Saatva will replace your it for free. If you find a defect from 3 to 15 years, they’ll repair your product for free. The only thing to keep in mind is that the warranty is void if your mattress is on a metal frame with less than four legs. Or if you have a king or queen, the warranty is void if it’s on a frame with less than six legs or lacking center-line support.

How well reviewed is the Saatva mattress?

the saatva luxury mattress

Image from Saatva Mattress

Online reviewers agree that the Saatva mattress provides luxury comfort for a great price. Sleep Advisor says the mattress will please those who like the “classic innerspring feel.” They say the mattress has a similar level of bounce compared to most innerspring mattresses. Because it has such an affordable price for its comfort, you may doubt the durability of the Saatva mattress. Thankfully, Sleep Advisor says the mattress is built very well and has reliable stitching and constructionAccording to Mattress Clarity, the design of the mattress is a step up compared to similarly priced innerspring mattresses. Sleep Advisor echoes this claim, saying the Saatva mattress does a great job at adding luxury features while keeping the price affordable. Even Tuck agrees that the Saatva mattress is very well priced compared to other innerspring mattresses. Features such as the memory foam lumbar support, individually wrapped coils, and euro-style topper genuinely make the Saatva mattress a high-quality bed.Onto the gripes reviewers had, Tuck states the motion isolation in the Saatva mattress is actually pretty poor. Other reviewers such as Sleep Advisor say the motion isolation is alright, but not ideal if motion isolation is something you’re actively looking for. And despite Sleep Advisor stating the materials used to make the Saatva are high-quality, Tuck passes off the durability of the Saatva mattress as average. Even with its flaws, reviewers tend to reach a consensus that the Saatva mattress offers a high-end bed for a great price.

Unlike some other mattresses found online, the Saatva mattress is the same price no matter what firmness you prefer.

How we reviewed

To create our review of the Saatva mattress, we looked all over the web to summarize what top reviewers had to say. We looked over reviews by publishers such as Sleep Advisor, Mattress Clarity, and The Sleep Judge to get a complete look at the mattress. We then summed up what reviewers were saying to create an unbiased and professional look at the Saatva mattress.

Closest Competitors

The three mattresses that hold up against the Saatva mattress are the Winkbeds mattress, Nest Bedding Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress, and Sapira mattress.

Winkbeds mattress

winkbeds mattress

Image from Winkbeds

The Winkbeds mattress falls into a similar price category to the Saatva mattress. This is important to note because the Winkbed has many similar features to the Saatva mattress. Such features include technologically advanced coils, memory foam, and 120 night trial period. What sets the Winkbeds mattress apart is its durability and motion isolation. The Winkbeds mattress tends to last longer than the Saatva mattress. It also has a bit better motion isolation than the Saatva mattress. The differences are subtle, but when put up head to head with the Saatva mattress the Winkbeds mattress is a strong competitor.

Nest Bedding Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress

nest bedding signature alexander mattress

Image from Nest Bedding

The Alexander Hybrid mattress combines the support of an innerspring mattress with the softness of memory foam. Whereas the Saatva mattress has touches of memory foam, the Alexander Hybrid mattress has heaps of it. If you think the Saatva mattress sounds nice but wish it had more memory foam, this is the choice for you. The Alexander Hybrid mattress has one layer of coils with multiple layers of memory foam on top. This setup makes the mattress a bit more like a memory foam mattress but gives you better spinal alignment and support than one. The Alexander Signature Hybrid mattress is a better choice than the Saatva mattress if your preferences lean toward memory foam.

Sapira Mattress

Leesa Hybrid Mattress (Formerly Sapira)

Image from Amazon

Like the Alexander Hybrid mattress, the Sapira mattress is a hybrid that has a noticeable memory foam feel to it. Sapira takes the memory foam feeling a touch down from the Alexander Hybrid mattress though. The Sapira mattress strikes a nice balance between coils and memory foam. There’s enough memory foam to relieve pressure and give the bed a pleasantly soft feel. The coils, on the other hand, add the support and bounce that is enjoyed in an innerspring mattress. With a 100 night trial and superior motion isolation, the Sapira mattress gives the Saatva mattress a run for its money. You do have to pay extra for the Sapira mattress though.

Pros and Cons

One of the biggest positives of the Saatva mattress is its price point. The Saatva mattress outcompetes most innerspring mattresses around its price. All of the features packed into the Saatva mattress make it hard to beat. Most downsides for the mattress are just that it doesn’t perform as well as some hybrid mattresses around its price.

  • Tremendous value
  • 3 levels of firmness
  • Excellent edge support

  • Average motion isolation
  • Doesn’t ship in a box
  • Average durability

Go to the Mattresses

This mattress is a great choice for those who want an innerspring mattress that provides an extra touch of comfort. The Saatva mattress stays true to the innerspring mattress feel in the best way possible. Folks who don’t enjoy the sinking feeling memory foam mattresses bring will appreciate its innerspring feel. Overall the Saatva mattress is an exceptional choice and worth strongly looking into.

The Ultimate Spring Air Mattress Review: All You Need to Know

blue matress

Does your mattress feel completely different from when you first bought it? Does it take you a while drift into sleep? Do you wake up feeling sore and achy every morning? Then it is probably the right time to get a mattress upgrade. After this, more questions follow.  Do you pick a memory foam or hybrid? Do you go for the Spring Air mattress or the Purple mattress?

Buying a mattress is probably one of the most important decisions you will make, even if it doesn’t seem like it. Poor sleep quality affects your cognitive abilities, mood, and overall health. Sleep experts recommend seven to nine hours of sleep. Otherwise, you will likely face the long-term effects of sleep deprivation.

About Spring Air Mattress

Spring Air has been creating innovative mattresses and other sleep sets since 1926. It is the fourth largest mattress manufacturer with eight factories in the United States. In addition, they have 35 global licensees operating in 43 countries. The company offers a variety of models with different levels of support to suit varying sleep preferences.

What to Look For in a Mattress

When looking for the right mattress, it is easy to get confused with the wide variety of options to choose from. For this reason, you should consider things such as sleeping position, construction material, firmness and the warranty period. These factors will simplify your decision-making process.

Sleeping position

beautiful woman sleeping

Image via Pixabay

Your sleeping position plays a huge role in the overall choice of a mattress. Each sleeping position has a unique need due to the recessed formed when you lie on the mattress. The right mattress provides maximum support to the recessed areas to align your spine.

For a side sleeper, the recessed areas are the shoulders and the hips. Therefore, a softer mattress with a comfort layer that is about three inches thick will provide good support. In contrast, back sleepers need a thinner top layer that is two inches thick for great balance. This is because the lumbar region is their recessed point.

On the other hand, stomach sleepers need a thin comfort layer with an inch of softness to cushion bony areas. If you are a combination sleeper, you will need a mattress that is softer near the top but provides great support once compressed. Because of this, innerspring mattresses with pocket coils or offset coils work best. Latex mattresses are great too.

Firmness describes how soft or hard your mattress feels to determine the level of comfort you will get. The firmness of a mattress is subjective term because what is comfortable to you may be uncomfortable to another person.

For this reason, mattress manufacturers offer different firmness levels to allow customers to find a model that suits their style. The sleep industry also has an unrefined firmness scale for some universality.

The explain this, the firmness scale runs from 1 to 10. From one up to three, the firmness level of mattress here is soft. In contrast, from four up to six, the firmness level of a mattress there will be medium. But from seven to nine, the firmness is much harder with limited softness. Finally, a rating of 10 describes an extremely firm mattress with no softness or sink even though this type is rare.

Understand the different types of materials used to create your mattress for optimum comfort and support. Most mattress manufacturers offer innerspring, memory foam and hybrid designs. Air and waterbeds also exist but they are not a long-term mattress solution.

Innerspring mattresses feature a steel innerspring coil topped with different foams and fibers. The coils can be either individually wrapped or continuous. On the other hand, memory foam mattresses feature a foam support core topped with a memory foam material for contouring.

Hybrid mattresses combine the benefits of the memory foam or latex materials with individually wrapped coils for support. This is an ideal option for those interested in the benefits of both the innerspring system and memory foam or latex materials.

Mattress warranty

Most mattress warranties go for 5, 10 or 25 years. However, research by Sleep like the Dead shows that quality mattresses have longer warranties while inferior ones have shorter warranties.

When you make a warranty claim, consider the costs you might incur in the process. For instance, you could end up paying a fee for someone to inspect whether the mattress qualifies for coverage. On top of this, there could also be shipping charges for a new or repaired mattress.

Be sure to read the guidelines to understand exactly what defaults the mattress manufacturer covers to avoid a voided warranty. Mattress manufacturers usually void warranty coverage if you used improper foundation or the presence of stains and fluids.

Consequently, pay attention to how the company addresses sagging issues. Most warranties deal with sagging depending on its severity. For instance, innerspring mattress warranties require double the depth of sagging at 1.5 inches than memory foam warranties at 0.75 inches.

Similarly, remember to look at customer complaints on warranty-related issues. This is a great way to see how the mattress manufacturer stands behind the warranty. After all, a warranty is only as good as their willingness to honor it.

sleep number bed woman-sleeping-on-white-bed-holding-blue-pillow

Many people wake in the morning feeling pain. If this is something you’re experiencing, you’re not alone. I personally know the Sleep Number Bed can help you reduce pain levels and wake up feeling refreshed.

There are so many mattresses to choose from that choosing one can be overwhelming. I know it was for me when I had to find my mattress and I can tell you, it was a great decision.

You already know that companies try to sell you anything and will claim their product is the “best” and “most innovative.” These claims make matters even worse. So, what should you be looking for? Comfort, quality, durability, and a mattress that conforms to your body.

It’s also a good idea to look for something with cooling technology to help reduce body heat. And, if possible, a mattress that minimizes motion transfer is ideal if you share the mattress with a partner.

You don’t have to, and shouldn’t, buy a mattress because everyone else is. But, you do have to make an informed decision when the time comes to select one. What’s your number? Figuring it out is step one to reinventing how you sleep and feeling refreshed in the morning.

How We Reviewed

We compared the Sleep Number Bed series with other adjustable mattresses. In our review, we considered mattress options, availability, features, and pricing.

We also included information about warranties and consumer reviews about the different products. This information also provides consumers with greater detail about the products, to help them pick the best bed.

Price Range

The price of Sleep Number Bed series depends on which of the four products consumers choose. Additionally, the mattress size will cause pricing to increase. Sleep IQ technologies are optional with some mattresses, and this also raises prices.

For consumers who want optional features like foot warmers or adjustable bases, rates will also differ. This price is only for the mattress and doesn’t include the bases or frames

The Sleep Number Bed: Features and Specs

If your mattress is over ten years old, a Sleep Number Bed would be an upgrade. These mattresses feature comfort and cooling technologies that older mattresses just won’t have. Some of these include:

  • Dual air chambers that owners can adjust to decrease/increase the firmness levels of the bed
  • Memory foam or plush foam layers (depending on the model) to increase sleep comfort levels
  • Breathable, cooling gel materials, to help keep you cool at night
  • The Sleep IQ system that tracks sleep patterns, movement, heart rate, and other indicators (optional feature)
  • The Sleep 360 system that uses movement data to transition the mattress and increase comfort levels overnight

Each Sleep Number Bed has different characteristics that set it apart from others. Depending on the series consumers purchase, some features are standard and others are optional. It’s important to compare each product, to find the right product for each person or couple.

Sleep Number Bed Models

There are four Sleep Number Bed models. These are the Classic (two options), Performance, and Innovation Sleep Number Bed. These are some of the characteristics of each of the four mattress models.

Classic series beds

The Classic Sleep Number Bed is available in C2 and C4 models. The C4 features a polyfoam comfort layer. The C2 bed doesn’t have a comfort layer. This layer lies above the air chambers on the mattress.

It is 1.5 inches thick and features three comfort zones. This entry-level series is a good option for consumers who want firmness control for an affordable price.

Performance series beds

The performance line has a P5 and P6 series. The P5 has a mattress height of 10 inches, pressure relief, and adjusts on both sides of the bed. The P6 has an 11-inch height and provides greater pressure relief.

Both models have optional features consumers can add also. Bed lighting and foot warmers are a couple of additional features consumers can add for an additional fee.

The mattresses vary in height between 11 inches to 13 inches depending on the model. The levels of cooling and support also increase with the ILE and I10 models. All four models offer great pressure relief and support for owners.

Who Is the Sleep Number Bed For?

Although there are several great options to choose from, the Sleep Number Bed isn’t for everyone. Some people will benefit more than others from owning this bed. Apart from being expensive, the mattresses aren’t the best option for those who like memory foam.

The bed is best for couples who have different sleeping patterns at night. It automatically adjusts on either side of the bed so that each partner can choose their sleep settings. And, with the king and California king sizes, the adjustable base also allows couples to adjust height levels.

People who suffer from joint or chronic pain will also benefit from owning a Sleep Number Bed. People who like air beds, flexibility, and the latest technologies, will love these mattresses too.

Benefits and Drawbacks of a Sleep Number Bed

For consumers who are considering investing in a Sleep Number Bed, it’s essential to understand the benefits and drawbacks. Like all mattresses, this product isn’t perfect for everyone. These are some of the good and bad features worth noting.

Pros of the Sleep Number Bed

There are many great features of the Sleep Number Bed series offers including:

  • Several models to choose from, allowing consumers to find the best fit for their sleep needs
  • The mattresses are available in twin to California king sizes
  • The king and California king mattresses also offer adjustable bases (for an additional cost)
  • Therapeutic benefits and reducing chronic pain levels

Sleep IQ technology is another nice feature to help improve sleep patterns over time. Couples can easily adjust their sleep levels at night, without disrupting the other person as well.

Cons of the Sleep Number Bed

Weighing the negatives is also essential when comparing new beds. Some of the drawbacks of the Sleep Number Bed series include:

  • With technology also comes the possibility of malfunctions
  • The mattress is only available through the Sleep Number company
  • Limitations on the 25-year warranty and the 100-night sleep trial
  • Possible sagging between the air chambers over time

The Best Comparable Adjustable Beds

Before investing in a Sleep Number Bed, consumers should also consider their alternatives. These are a few of the best adjustable bed competitors to consider when choosing a new one.

Personal Comfort A2

This eight-inch, Damask covered mattress features firmness adjustability like the Sleep Number Bed. The company also produces it in the USA, in FDA registered labs guaranteeing the highest safety standards.

The mattress comes with a 25-year warranty. The company also manufactures an 11-inch and 13-inch adjustable mattress. It utilizes a state-of-the-art pump system to adjust firmness levels in the mattress.

It also features two-zone adjustment allowing each sleeper to change their side of the bed to their liking. A touchscreen digital control will enable owners to adjust the mattress to the firmness levels of their choice.

The pump system technology features 45 different adjustment setting levels. This design allows each to find the ideal firmness levels for the best night’s sleep. Consumers also receive a 120-night sleep trial with this mattress and free shipping.

Some reviewers, however, complain of poor quality and issues with comfort levels on the mattress. One reviewer notes that they wake up feeling back pain after sleeping on this mattress.

Night Air Mattress

This mattress features six air chambers, allowing each partner to adjust their side of the bed to a different level.

There are adjustment chambers throughout the back, head, and feet. The mattress features a two-inch tri-zone latex finish. This material is comfortable and also helps keep the mattress cool overnight.

The eight-inch high-density foam material is sturdy and provides perimeter support to help prevent sagging. The LCD control allows owners to adjust the firmness levels from one to 100 on either side of the mattress.

The mattress height is 10 inches. There are auto-fill and memory retention options owners can set on the controller as well. This feature allows owners to adjust their side of the mattress to the perfect level for quick adjustments.

Warranty information is not available through Amazon for this product. It is available in Twin and California king sizes.

Thomasville Saturn Bed

This mattress features anti-microbial stay-cool foam liners to ensure high levels of comfort overnight. The 12-inch mattress also features dual-chamber air technologies.

Owners can adjust in the head, lumbar, and lower foot area of the mattress. It also allows each person to change the firmness levels to their liking, without disrupting the other person in bed.

The stay-cool gel memory foam also encompasses the body upon laying down on top of it. The adjustability ranges are from one to 100 for optimal levels of personalization.

The tri-zone venting technology also helps draw heat away from the body and mattress at night. The result, the company says, is a more refreshing, more comfortable night’s sleep. Like the Sleep Number Bed, this mattress also comes with a 25-year warranty.

Leesa Sapira

Although the mattress doesn’t feature adjustability on both sides, it does feature a five-layer chamber construction. This design mimics the support that is present in the Sleep Number Bed series.

There is an Avena foam layer, a memory foam layer, core support, a core coil system, and a mattress base. These layers also work together to help conform to the owner’s body, creating optimal support from head to toe.

The hybrid mattress also conforms to the owner’s body, increasing levels of comfort overnight. It gently pushes back at pressure points, to help minimize pain and also improve sleep patterns over time.

Additionally, this mattress is available in twin to California king sizes. So, owners can find the perfect bed for any bedroom, to accommodate even the pickiest sleeper. The luxury hybrid mattress also includes a 100-night sleep trial.

So, consumers can try it out, and if they aren’t happy with the product. If they aren’t, they can return the mattress for a full refund.

Quality concerns are one of the issues reviewers indicate with this product. In this review, the customer notes the mattress began to sag after one month of ownership. This product defect can cause back pain and discomfort as time progresses.

Our Verdict: The Sleep Number Bed vs. Its Competitors

The Sleep Number Bed is a pioneer in adjustable mattress technologies. The company has the latest innovative technologies and also introduces new product lines regularly. It also includes a 25-year warranty (limited) and 100-night sleep trial for consumers to try out before committing.

The fact that the company offers nearly 10 beds to choose from means there’s something for anyone. If you have the money, the Sleep Number Bed series is the best option available.

Even the entry-level C2 series is expensive when adding optional features to the mix. So, this should be something consumers account for if they’re considering this product.

For those who are on a budget, there are also alternatives to consider. If you can’t afford the sleep number series, the best option is the Thomasville Saturn bed. Thomasville is also a recognizable furniture and mattress manufacturer so that you can rely on the quality and performance.

The mattress features six air chambers allowing owners to adjust it to their liking. There are adjustability chambers in the lumbar, neck/head, and feet region. Both sides of the mattress allow each partner to choose the perfect setting, without disrupting the other person.

Memory foam and anti-microbial material finishes are durable and comfortable. The bed also features cooling technologies, to keep you comfy at night.

When choosing an adjustable mattress, comfort, design, quality, and reputation, are some relevant factors to consider.

The Sleep Number Bed is a leader in the industry. There are, however, alternatives to consider as well. Regardless of your budget, these are some of the best air mattresses available today.
